Beginning in 2015, evolve Federal Credit Union introduced its new Social Purpose: “evolving for our members’ financial well-being and for the foundation of El Paso…our children!” With this initiative, evolve FCU launched a new program that focuses on giving back to the children of El Paso.
“evolving Kids of El Paso” is a project that enhances the well-being of local children’s organizations and our community. We have set in place a combination of efforts in order to successfully implement this initiative across our brand and throughout the city. These efforts include hosting our annual credit union events, such as Kids Day at the Movies and Zoo Day, volunteering with our community partners, and increasing media coverage of these events in order to raise awareness of their individual missions.
As a community organization, evolve Federal Credit Union understands the importance of giving back. We owe our success to the El Paso community that continues to show their support for our credit union, whether it be through their membership or by participating and attending any of our events. evolve Federal Credit Union is dedicated to giving back to its’ hometown and devoted to brightening the future of the Kids of El Paso!
Stay tuned with our latest press and media coverage in our What'sUp blog page and follow us on social media for the latest event updates.
For the next two weeks, August 30th – September 10th, evolve FCU will be hosting a fundraiser benefiting THE defenders of potential, Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso. As one of evolve FCU’s community partners, the credit union’s goal for this campaign is to raise donations for the organization and increase awareness of BBBS’s mission to “create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.” There are currently over 200 kids in El Paso that are signed up in this program still waiting for a mentor. Some of the lifelong benefits of a child having a positive mentor in their life include increased performance in school, building stronger relationships with family and peers, minimizing risky behaviors, and increasing college attendance.
